Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Season NZ and AU

The 2020-21 BMSB season will be in effect for goods shipped from Origin Ports on or after September 1, 2020.

It is important to note that at Risk Goods (Vehicles, Parts, Machinery) must be treated from those High Risk Countries if exported from 1 September 2020 and arrive into New Zealand and Australia upto 30 April 2021 (inclusive).

In general, the measures remain consistent with the 2019–2020 BMSB risk season other than the addition of Portugal, Ukraine and Moldova to the target risk countries list.

Imported cargo relating to Vehicles, Parts and Machinery will need to be heat treated or fumigated by approved treatment providers prior to departure.

Offshore Treatment requirements will apply to all Sea containers from Italy, with sensitive cargo to be exempt.
