Quality, Environment & Safety
Quality,- Environment and Safety management are written with a capital at Mainfreight Europe as it is at heart of how we conduct our daily business. The Mainfreight Group’s certified management system and the ongoing innovations in the branch challenges us to continuously evaluate and further improve our operations.
Back in 1989 Mainfreight Europe was one of the first logistics companies that obtained an ISO 9002 certification. Currently we have almost 30 branches throughout Europe certified for several management systems.
ISO 9001 (Quality management)
ISO 9001 is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 helps ensure that our customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.
ISO 14001 (Environmental management)
Taking care of our environment and reducing the environmental footprint, are two of the most important challenges facing businesses today. ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow to improve sustainability throughout the business.
ISO22000 (Food Safety management)
ISO 22000 is a Food Safety Management System which outlines what needs to be in a Food Safety Management System (FSMS). This is to make sure that food is kept safe during the entire food supply chain, from farm to fork. The standard is based on the principles and regulations of HACCP.
IFS Logistics (International Food Standard)
Our Logistics division in the Netherlands is IFS logistics certified on the highest level. IFS Logistics marks the joint objective of trade and industry to create transparency and trust across the entire supply chain. This IFS standard, specifically developed for storage, distribution, and transportation, as well as loading and unloading activities, is able to be implemented in environments managing both food and non-food products.
GMP+ (Feed Safety Assurance)
The GMP+ standard has been developed to harmonize requirements for feed in order to ensure quality and safety throughout the entire feed chain. It is based on widely recognized principles of quality assurance, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability)
SQAS is a system of uniform third party assessments to evaluate the performance of Logistics Service Providers and Chemical Distributors. SQAS assessments cover quality, safety, security, environment and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). The SQAS assessment reports allow chemical companies to evaluate their logistics service providers according to their own standards and requirements.
AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) scheme
Internationally recognized as a mark of quality, an AEO certificate effectively demonstrates that your role within the international supply chain is secure, and that your customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant.
