North Queensland Severe Weather | March 2018

Posted on 28 February 2018

Please be advised the area around Townsville is continuing to be drenched amid a severe weather event. Emergency crews are on standby with more flooding expected in North Queensland. This downpour has prompted several road closures including the Bruce Highway in both directions disrupting our service.

Our Townsville branch is open and will be making every effort to minimise the impact on your deliveries, although some customers in the area have been forced to cease receiving deliveries as flooding rises. Our drivers are on the roads and making deliveries where it is safe to do so but delays may be unavoidable.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time and please be assured our team are focused on delivering the best possible service as the circumstances allow.

Update - 8th March 2018

The wild weather has headed further north forcing major road closures including the Bruce Highway in several places including Ingham and Tully.

These major road closures will affect freight traveling north of Townsville or south from Ingham including Cairns.

Our drivers are on the roads and our Townsville branch is open but delays may be unavoidable.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time and please be assured our team are focused on delivering the best possible service as the circumstances allow.
