UPDATE:
Christchurch continues to experience a number of aftershocks to the 7.1 earthquake on Saturday morning. The latest been 5.1 @ 7.49am this morning.
The result of these after shocks is temporary closure of the Christchurch Airport and Lyttelton Port of Christchurch whilst they check for damage and verify operations can continue.
We will advise in the event that these closures become anything other than short term. In the meantime, Christchurch is open and capable of handling all International Airfreight and Seafreight shipments. Please advise your teams accordingly.
Please see today’s advice from the Lyttelton Port of Christchurch HERE.
