Update | May 31

The situation in Le Havre is back to normal and teams working hard to reduce the backlog.

The following Strike Announcements are to take place this week:

  • June 2 : Ports in France
  • May 31 : French Railways
  • June 3-5 : National French Airports

We will keep you updated with further announcements.

Due to strike action and blockades aimed at fuel refineries across France, our team members in France are seeing implications in the major French ports of Fos-Sur-Mer and Le Harve. All refineries are now closed, while the stevedores in Fos-Sur-Mer are no longer working, and those from Le Havre will stop working from this evening for two days.

Protest and strike action notices have so far been published for Thursday the 26th of May and June 14th.

France is currently facing fuel shortages in the North and West as a direct result of the protests that are taking place.

These issues may impact on delivery time frames due to the flow on affects for both road and sea freight operators.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we face these challenges together. We will update you with information as it becomes available.

If you require any additional information pertaining to any of the above, please feel free to contact your Mainfreight Sales or Customer Service Representative.
